Karl Rove bitch slaps CBS

This whole CBS "forged" documents is absolutely ridiculous. I have no doubt Rove planted this story to inoculate Bush from future attacks on his guard "service." Sure, the documents might be forged, but the accusations behind the documents are legitimate. Now the woman who would have written the original memos has come out and said they are probably forgeries, although she confirms everything that is written in the memos is basically true. Now any future accusations that might come out against Bush and his guard "service" will have a cloud of suspicion surrounding them. For Rove, it's mission accomplished.

Now the rats in the House are coming out demanding a retraction from CBS.

House Majority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, said he collected signatures from 39
colleagues on a letter sent to the network calling for a retraction and asking CBS News to reveal the source of the documents.

"Clearly, their sources aren't what they need to be, or they're not willing to reveal even the nature of who their sources are," Blunt said. "It's hard for me to believe ... that CBS, an organization with a long and distinguished history in journalism in the past, would be willing to stand by this story when virtually everybody else has
questions about it."

It would've been nice had they been similarly outraged when Valerie Plame, the CIA agent, had been outed by someone in Cheney's office. Of course not a peep out of them on a REAL issue. These people are not only slimeballs, they're dangerous.
